Led Zeppelin played in my hometown on August 15, 1970 at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, CT. At the time I didn’t have the money to pay for tickets, so my friends and I tagged along with about 100 other people trying to sneak in past the gate. We were able to run through, but not before getting a generous spray of pepper gas! The experience of a Led Zeppelin concert is difficult to express in words. Electrifying, sexual, riveting….and well worth the pepper gas. The photos below are from the Led Zeppelin website and were actually taken at the concert.
