Rolling Stones New Haven Concert Poster 1964

This concert was one of my earliest...and I was so dedicated to the Beatles that seeing the Rolling Stones was not a big deal for me.  I wish I could remember more about the concert, but I remember being there and I remember them being very loud, but that was about it!!!  I do remember being very impressed that Murray the K was there!  I think I would like to mention here that my friends and I pretty much planned every weekend around bands that were playing in the area. The whole boy thing in school was just not considered when there were  way more exciting  possibilities out there like my favorite, Ringo Starr or one of the musicians in the Shags (our local version of the Beatles)!   After school we sat around our record players and memorized every word of every song of our favorites.   We came up with many scenarios in which we could meet the bands..we waited at the "back door" of every venue waiting for them to come out after the show. It was a time of major change in the world in general...and the "new" music seemed to express everything we were feeling at the time.
